Camille says:

Yes, maybe not entire walls and the whole room, but the framed ones I’d like to have for my own. They’re playful and artistic, but not too dominant.

Camille says:

Lily, good point there.

Lily says:

This is pretty intense to actually use. The owner might have a hard time living in that room. The wallpaper with the white background would be great for a library or a adult child’s bedroom who is artistic or young child who likes to draw on walls! Just a thought of practicality! It would be hard for me to decorate around these colors.

RGB Wallpaper

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

First revealed earlier in the year during Milan Design Week, this special set of "RGB" wallpapers was created by design collective Carnovsky for Jannelli & Volpi. The wallpaper is layered in red, green and blue illustrations, each of which reveals itself fully when coupled with an accordingly colored light. When plain, unfiltered light hits the wallpaper, it appears as a jumbled mess of colors and shapes, making the big reveal of filtered light all the more impressive.

"RGB" is the brainchild of Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla, the founders of Carnovsky. A new collection of the wallpaper, as well a series of prints based on the classic playing-card design, is now being exhibited in the Johanssen Gallery in Berlin, through February 10, 2011.
