CB2 & The Selby - Design Bureau

This one is tough, this look is definitely different. I guess it fits what they were looking for. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so taste is subjective.

Hallie says:

Slightly honored that this is vaguely similar to my apartment. Pictures 1 and 5, at least.

Mark says:

The Selby should do something with CB4. That is something I would buy.

CB2 & The Selby

Friday, November 19th, 2010

Crate & Barrel's home furnishing store CB2 and The Selby, a blog that chronicles the personal spaces of creatives, recently paired up to find "the most creative space in America." The month-long contest was open to anyone and everyone, and sought an aesthetic "inherent in both CB2 and The Selby's vision."

Up for grabs was $10,000 in CB2 merchandise and a photo shoot with The Selby. Runners-up received CB2 credit as well.

The winner, "The Venice Surf Shack," is a wooden bungalow in Venice Beach, near Los Angeles. The CB2 team and The Selby found its "unexpected combination of modern sophistication and casual chic décor" to be the crème de la crème.
