City Bikes for Spring
Friday, May 18th, 2012
May is National Bike Month here in the U.S.A., meaning that it is time to pump up your tires, dust off your two-wheeler, or if you don't have one, go shopping. Today, we're primarily looking at variations on the sturdy, commuter-friendly City Bike—some traditional, some designer but all more or less meant to get you around the town, perhaps with a bag or two. The definition of a city bike, you might say, is flexible. For us, it seems to be a hybrid of the road and track bike and the old-fashioned cruiser. It's stable, holds quite a bit, but can fly down alleys or down boulevards as needed. We'll delve into some other categories of two-wheelers in the weeks to come. In the meantime, happy riding.
