Dividing her time between Marfa, Texas, and Los Angeles, former Montreal club DJ Emmelie Brunetti embodies American Southwest in her creative lifestyle. Brunetti’s brand A Treatise on White Magic produces capsule products such Black Amber Balm and her own line of scents. Her personal style combines Lone Star State finds like her handmade silver bracelets, with Cali standbys like her favorite James Perse white T-shirt. “I’ve washed it a hundred times so it’s paper thin now,” she says. She nabbed her Pauric Sweeney tote (“understated yet sophisticated and super versatile”) from luisaviaroma.com, and the Amoeba Records chain is her go-to for vinyl, like a rare disco LP from 1978. You can hear it, too. When not prepping for her husband's gallery shows, she spins at Sunday afternoon cook-outs.
