Event: AIA Chicago’s 4th Annual Small Projects Awards

Wednesday, April 30th, 2014

Excellent design projects should be celebrated, no matter how big or small. On May 9, American Institute of Architects Chicago (AIA Chicago) will announce its 2014 Small Projects Awards winners. The event being held at Architectural Artifacts in Chicago’s historic Ravenswood neighborhood will recognize exceptional small local projects. Architectural firms being considered for the awards could have no more than nine architects on staff, to be classified as "small". The winners will range from minimalist dwellings and art installations to weekend retreats and restaurant spaces. This year’s jury includes Design Bureau’s own Chris Force along with Chris Cooper (AIA, Cooper Joseph Studio), Carolyn Armenta Davis (AIA, Architectural Historian), Mark Peters (AIA, Studio Dwell), and Vladimir Radunty, (AIA, SIDE Architecture). A reception and exhibition of the projects will follow the awards ceremony and (lucky for you) the event is free and open to the public! Click here to RSVP.
