In conjunction with this year's edition of international design fair NeoCon, Design Bureau took the opportunity to show off the amazing work some of our furniture partners have done in our new workspace in Chicago's River North neighborhood. We excitedly welcomed visitors to a special open house event where we offered a behind-the-scenes look at how we make our magazines and the chance to meet Design Bureau Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Chris Force, as well as representatives from DeskMakers and designer Adam Rogers of Moser Contract (a division of Thos. Moser).
While sipping on offerings from Apothic Wine and nibbling on fusion small bites from J&L Catering, the Design Bureau team led tours of the space while also highlighting our custom furnishings. Our open office and production room both feature bespoke desks from DeskMakers (the TeamWorx and BenchWorx lines, respectively) designed specifically for our collaborative needs across our marketing, accounts, and production teams. Our publisher's office features the Element Desk and Credenza, Return Table, and a custom-fit bookcase all by Moser Contract. The shelving unit has been so well received that the company is now introducing the same design in a smaller form into their own line.
Design Bureau HQ relies on design innovators to help us meet the daily demands of running an internationally distributed publication, and the open house let us show our readers and guests that we're able to work in both comfort and style.
