Girona on Spain's Costa Brava has all the medieval flavor you'd expect in historic Northeast Catalonia. I've wandered around its narrow alleys a bit myself. But I can't help thinking I'd appreciate the history a bit more from this modern hive from Magma Arquitectura in Barcelona—well, in one of the condos to be precise. What looks like a large single family villa is actually three independent homes—it conforms with multi-family housing legislation. The building is on a stone base on steep terrain, so it looks like a bit of a watchtower. The exterior terrace and pool is a shared "public" area that gets southern sun on one end. Just one question, where do I hang my towel?
