Grand Opening: Neighborly

Friday, November 16th, 2012

What: The Grand Opening of Neighborly

Where: 2003 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago

When: Saturday, 11/17 from 10am-10pm

If you're in Chicago this Saturday, take the Brown line up to Ravenswood and stop in the neighborhood's newest shop, aptly named Neighborly. Owned by Jenny Beorkrem, the graphic designer behind the iconic Ork Posters, the new store features design made by Midwesterners. "I wanted to start a shop that would offer products that are beautifully designed, simply functional, and also available at an affordable price," Beorkrem says of her latest venture. "The distinction is that we've been able to source many products that fit that definition and are made here in the Midwest."

Stop on by from 10am-10pm. If you wander in around 6, you'll even be treated to a "Neighborly Stout," brewed right next door at Begyle Brewing, another Chicago favorite.
