Gum Salon

Gum Salon is a full-service salon in Milan, Italy that draws heavily on a '50s noir aesthetic. Black tiles, bricks painted black, vintage black leather chairs, dark wood floors, and theater-inspired mirrors comprise the interior.
The aesthetic is rounded out by the salon's three-person staff; senior director Stefano Terzuoli is pictured at right with an appropriately greaser-inspired, Clockwork Orange look, with a simple black-and-white palette.
It's almost too cool — one might feel strange asking for a simple trim — and functions more like a destination salon, sure to draw a glamorous clientele. But if you're in Milan and in the market for an unforgettable hairstyling experience, look no further than Gum. It's what James Bond would do.
