The new magazine Hello Mr. has a bold mission: to redefine a misrepresented generation of gay men.
Founded by ex-pat Ryan Fitzgibbon, the magazine began as a blog about dating and being gay. “The blog was casual in its tone and frequency, but we were on to something and I knew there was something deeper to be explored,” he says. What followed is Hello Mr., what he sees as an overdue response to the unending clichés that surround current gay lifestyle publications. “Hello Mr. is a downshift from what’s typical–more intimate, reflective moments are favored over dancing and rallying for equal rights.”
Published twice annually, each issue will be chock-full of personal essays, interviews, short stories, photographs, and illustrations from individuals around the world. Check out Hello Mr.’s Kickstarter campaign and help fund the production of the first issue, which will launch in both print and digital editions.
