Holiday Window Shopping | Fred Perry

Monday, December 10th, 2012

We like window shopping during the holiday season almost as much as we like buying stuff... or, at least, our pocketbooks prefer the window shopping. High-profile store windows are, quite literally, like Christmas for designers. One of the most creative displays we've seen this year comes courtesy of London-based StudioXAG, who built giant 3-D advent calendars in Fred Perry stores around the world.

From StudioXAG:

StudioXAG were asked to build giant 3D advent calendars in the form of Fred Perry's house to count down the days until Christmas in their stores around the world. Each of the houses have numbered advent doors and one is opened every day to reveal a different Fred Perry product. Many of the houses have been made bespoke to fit their stores, and at their tallest are a grand 2 metres high with an artwork of Fred Perry's house printed directly onto all sides of their MDF structure. Special features include cut-out windows with real net curtains hanging, festoon lighting running along the tops of the terrace, and some extra special houses even have moving doors which open and close to add an extra level of excitement to the spectacle.
