International Design Excellence Awards

Friday, January 31st, 2014

Looking for prestige and bragging rights? Oh, and international media coverage, perhaps from us here at Design Bureau? You're in luck, for DB partner the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) is accepting entries now through February 14. Each year, IDEA embarks on a worldwide search for exceptional designs, products, and concepts. If we've piqued your interest, head here for information on the timeline and fees.

Upon receiving all entries, the IDEA jury will meet at The Henry Ford to decide on the winners, as IDSA and The Henry Ford have a long term relationship wherein the IDEA winners are taken into the permanent collection of the Henry Ford museum each year. Check out the video to the left to see what happens when a world-class group of designers gathers at The Henry Ford to determine what work is worthy, as DEA 2013 chair, Thomas Overthun from IDEO, walks you through the evaluation process, from choosing the jury to online judging to the fierce and thoughtful debates that take place in the hallowed halls of The Henry Ford.
