Imagine All the People Wearing Yoko Ono

By Joel Hoglund

Not a day goes by that we don't wish someone would design a $200 jock strap with an LED light where the junk goes. Or a pair of pants that take the guesswork out of where the male of the species keeps his reproductive genitalia. Or maybe, just maybe, a transparent chest plaque with nipple bells and a leather neck strap and text that reads "Ring for your mommy piece." We hoped it would all have something to do with John Lennon, or remind us of our raver days (fingers crossed, both!). Well, the time has finally come. Maybe it's a result of the Mayan calendar, or the fiscal cliff, who knows—we're not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, we're just going to be grateful that the world now contains Yoko Ono's men's fashion line for Opening Ceremony

From OC: "This holiday season, Opening Ceremony teams up with Yoko Ono to create a very special apparel collection, available exclusively at OC. Titled 'Fashions for Men 1969-2012,' the limited-edition line is based on a book of hand-drawn illustrations that Yoko presented to John Lennon on the occasion of their wedding. Forty-three years later, Yoko and OC have worked together to bring her sketches to life!"

The Net is buzzing with snarky armchair analysis of the unconventional fashions, but we happen to love them. Now we finally know what to gift our father who has everything: Open toe thigh-high boots and a lightbulb bra. Sure, it may cost us a cool grand, but that's a small price to pay for the Best Christmas Ever.
