Indochino Traveling Tailor

Selling custom suiting to men over the internet poses one major issue: Sizing. Online custom menswear brand Indochino has entered the new men's suiting fray with that issue in mind. They've answered it with the "man-centric" pop-up shop—that's their description, not mine. Indochino’s first US Traveling Tailor is open at the Great Hall at Chicago Union Station from Tuesday, August 14th to Monday, August 20th. The seven-day pop-up gives Chicago men the chance to get measured and styled by Indochino’s fit-specialists in person. They can also touch fabrics and order from the company’s latest collections in an Apple Store-inspired environment.

Indochino co-founder Kyle Vucko says "This is our first visit to the US after a very successful launch of Traveling Tailor in Canada and we think Chicago men are really going to love the personal styling experience that we’ve designed. We feel men have generally been treated like second-class fashion retail citizens and Traveling Tailor is part of our vision to change that."

It turns out, Chicago is already a big market for Indochino, so it was a natural choice to launch the pop-up. Set up an appointment online before going, or just make one when you get there. Bonus incentive: Customers snag a Suit Utility Kit (value of $148) with every purchase at the pop-up.
