Josef Albers’ Interaction of Color on the iPad

Monday, August 5th, 2013

Fifty years after first publishing Josef Albers’ Interaction of Color—widely revered as one of the most influential art books ever written—Yale University Press is enhancing the classic for the iPad. Available now, the mobile app enhances the original to allow for hands-on experimentation and features video interviews with textile designer Christopher Farr, graphic designer Peter Mendelsund, painters Anoka Faruqee and Brice Marden, product designer Brian Mullan (director of sourcing and product development at Fab), quilt and fabric designer Denyse Schmidt, architect Anabelle Seldorf, and cultural historian Nicholas Fox Weber (executive director of The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation). Read more about it, watch a trailer, and download the app here.
