Knopf’s Book Designer

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

When one of the great designers at one of New York's greatest publishers talks, we listen. When he's the oft-hilarious, and legendary Chip Kidd, Associate Art Director at publishing house, Knopf, we find it a lot of fun, too. Today, we're featuring Kidd's talk from "The Design Studio," a session on design and creativity that was co-curated by architect David Rockwell and award-winning design editor and curator, Chee Pearlman at this year's TED Conference. Kidd has designs for David Sedaris's Naked and Cormac McCarthy's All the Pretty Horses under his belt—and the Jurassic Park logo. Totally worth a look if you've ever wondered how book designs come about—and why some are so good.

See many of Kidd's design at Knopf.
