Chicago's iconic concert venue, the Metro, celebrates its 30th birthday this month. In honor of the occasion, the Chicago Loop Alliance's Pop-Up Art Loop is showcasing 30 years of well-designed poster artwork in a gallery located at the Inland Steel Building. The event opened Thursday night with a special live DJ set put on by Metro.
Honoring the beloved venue's contributions to both music and art, the gallery features art from the Metro's extensive archives. Popular posters from momentous shows will be interspersed with never-before-seen artwork, a tribute to thirty long years of pioneering Chicago's music taste.
Visit the Metrospective exhibit's official web page to find a complete list of interactive events exploring the intersection of music and visual art.
