Best Bath – Kartell by Laufen

Kartell and LAUFEN are together launching an integrated and complete bathroom project. A codesigned project nurtured by the intense dialogue between the enlightened customer on the one hand the award-winning designers Ludovica + Roberto Palomba on the other, who have earned themselves the merit of having reinvented the concept of the bathroom. The vitreous transparency of latest generation polycarbonate and the sheer edges of the totemic freestanding washbasins attract those that love minimal, lunar, rarefied white environments.

 Best Kitchen – bulthaup

The installation at bulthaup’s Via Durini showroom in Milan during the Salone was assembled from bulthaup b3 elements of varying heights, colors, and materials arranged on steps and platforms made from concrete, stone, brand-new hand-painted lava tiles and well-worn wood floorboards. As visitors moved around the space, they experienced juxtapositions and new points of view.

Our Favorite Things From the Milan Furniture Fair | Part 1

Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

Leading up to Milan's Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the must-attend furniture fair, we had a blast talking with 10 designers about their past experiences at the fair. But that didn't compare to the sheer awesomeness of actually being there. From watching the crowds turn out even in the pouring rain and seeing bulthaup CEO Marc Eckert speak in the invite-only room, to sitting down for a chat with designer Roberto Palomba about the new kartell by LAUFEN bathroom project and lounging in the very pink Swingrest by Dedon that Shakira would later buy off the floor... nothing quite compares to the Salone. Here, a few of our favorite products.
