Pantone’s 2012 Color of the Year

Bust out your dancing shoes, 'cause it’s time to do the tango…the Tangerine Tango, that is. On Thursday, December 8, the world-renowned authority on color selected the reddish-orange Tangerine Tango as the color of the year.
Last year, Pantone ordained honeysuckle as the ultimate color, a soft reddish-pink hue that could embolden us to face our everyday problems with “verve and vigor.” This year, however, the challenge is to reboot and surge forward with heat and energy.
The spring collections of Nanette Lepore, Tommy Hilfiger, Elie Tahari, Adrienne Vittadini, and many others incorporate the bright hue, and are also featured in Pantone's Fashion Color Report Spring 2012.
