Clockwise: Korg Monotron — my pocket theremin; Canon EF 50mm F1.8 lens — best $75 purchase I’ve ever made; Lighter with exposed fluid — works great as a bubble-level-meter; Zoom H4N — a recording studio in less than a square foot; Western digital 1TB hard drive — one terabyte! in my pocket!; Various solid state media — I keep these in my wallet for emergencies; iPhone — I can open Final Cut Pro on my phone from anywhere, and the Judith Supine background makes me happy; Micron pen — the best.

This week's "peep" comes all the way from New York City, where videographer and image-maker Adam Weinberg resides. His striking concert photography can been seen online at New York magazine, and during his tenure at Ministry of Culture, Weinberg worked on projects with MTV and Reebok. Oh, and did we mention he also makes his own ambient beats in his nonexistent free time? Let's take a look at this polymath's portable possessions.

So tell us a little about what you do, Adam...

I'm a freelance video editor / videographer / photographer who makes ambient dance music and little abstract drawings in my spare time.

If we were to walk in on you unannounced, what would we most likely find you doing?

Reading Design Bureau magazine.

Ha, good answer. If you could bring back two things from your childhood, what would they be?

Number Munchers and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

What are you looking forward to this summer?

Outdoor concerts and drinking on patios.

What are the top three most-played tracks in your music library?

Chad Valley: "Up and Down," Porcelain Raft: "Tip of Your Tongue," H-Town: "They Like it Slow (Star Slinger remix)"

What don't you leave home without?

My 5D MKII HD-video-capable digital SLR.

What was your first job?

Video Adventure. I had a killer picks section and had to rent pornography to my health teacher and classmate's parents.

What was the last thing you bought?

Moog's Filatron app for my iPhone, a $6 synthesizer / effects processor that I use between phone calls.

What is your "perfect day"?

My girlfriend just saw me answering these and said, "It better involve me," and I really can't argue that.

Well, gotta love a guy that listens to his girlfriend. Thanks for sharing with us Adam, and check out more of his photography here!
