RL House Brazil

A Brazilian couple, displeased with the look of their almost finished apartment, turned to their only hope—their favorite architect for a complete redo. Given free reign, Guilherme Torres, shows his chops as a contemporary interior designer and furniture designer with RL House. All the main pieces such as tables, sideboards and sofa were designed by the architect. Torres uses unusual mint and blue in the main rooms, black and white in the bedroom, and does a whole wall in pinus, " a wood that has virtually no commercial value in Brazil" according to the architect's office.
The Shadowy chaise is by Moroso, an outdoor piece Torries decided to use inside. The rugs and wooden chair with steel legs are from Diesel and the dinner table chairs are from Driade. The piece beside the chaise is by João Machado and the one above the sideboard is by Eliane Prolik. The art piece above the headboard is by João Machado and bed linen from Ari Beraldin. The kitchen received furniture in black lacquer, countertops in Corian and Smeg home appliances.
Was the client happy? She liked Torres original pieces so much she decided to open a company just to represent Guilherme Torres’s products worldwide.
