Ruined Polaroids

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

Back in the youthful day, I used to shoot a lot of Polaroids and occasionally ruin them by spilling liquids on them, folding them or otherwise treating them badly. I did notice, however, that the colors of those distorted instant photos were pretty cosmic and for a while I played around with twisting them during the developing time. Photographer Bill Miller noticed too, but he's taken the ruined Polaroids concept much further in this series which uses images from a busted Polaroid SX-70.
