Scott Wilson Rethinks the Task Light
Friday, May 4th, 2012
MINIMAL designer Scott Wilson is having a very good week. He just dropped Sisifo, his update on the task light/table light for Artemide—it features a large LED illuminated diffused disc on an articulating stem.
But perhaps even bigger news is that Wilson, the former Nike Global Creative Director, has been honored with the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum Award for Product Design. “Being recognized by such a prestigious design organization and awarded for my body of work is the greatest honor of my career. It makes all the countless hours, obsessing over the details and product experience, even more meaningful,” says Wilson. Congrats Scott Wilson, this Friday night cocktail is for you.
