Shagadelic Croatian Hang Space

The folks at Numen.eu have a lot of faith in tape, structures and art made of tape, that is. The group has created massive public art works in Melbourneand elsewhere comprised entirely of sticky, stronger-than-you-thought-possible tape. In their current installation, TUFT, adhesive tape helps give form to layers of carpet in a part-cave/part-couch structure, all made in an Croatian factory. The structure is suspended four meters from the floor in a former church in Pula, Croatia where visitors can crawl in for a groovy hang. They tell us the red cocoon with a rough, industrial exterior is perfectly safe even for the kiddies, who are probably more comfortable rolling around on the carpet anyway.
