The Cure for Convention Blues

Teaming up with Nivea, Studio Toogood's La Cura might have been one of the more conceptual performance-based installations at Milan Design Week this year. Sure, there was uniquely beautiful furniture, but there was also a custom scent, refreshing and energizing custom elixirs and "the Cures"—small balls of white clay that visitors shaped into their own sculptures which were collected and contributed to the installation. Creating an escape  from the madness of booths and stalls seems like a no-brainer, but in creating such an idyllic and otherworldly one Toogood almost makes us long for another hospital stay.
