The Wild Chair
Monday, May 21st, 2012
Biologists are buzzing with the announcement of the discovery of The Wild Chair (salvaticus cathedra), a quilled, four legged, solitary creature that really doesn't like to be sat on. Or that's what J C Karich, Pauline Jamilloux, and students from MIT’s Media Lab are saying. That crew created the Wild Chair from a stock IKEA model—added the motorized backrest of quills, which defend the chair whenever someone bum rushes it. Not available at a store near you, for obvious reasons.
