Top Drawer Top Floor Kiev
Monday, April 16th, 2012
I once spent the summer working at a bookshop with a Ukrainian architect who had left the country looking for work. Any work. My guess, from the looks of it, is that he's back in Kiev where the standard for new buildings and interiors is higher and the design more adventurous than it was during the early, tumultuous '90s. Designer Thank Balbek of 2B Group designed these apartments on the top floor of a building in Kiev, making use of the loft-like wide open spaces and columns as well as industrial elements. And yet, the space feels cozier and ready to be lived in. See more at the Russian design blog HQRoom.
