WallTat Decals: Moving Art Beyond the Frame
Thursday, June 5th, 2014
Interior design should never be one-size-fits-all—and that’s exactly what Chicago-based designer Jordan Guide had in mind when she created WallTat: customizable, made-to-order wall and ceiling decals that are as simple to remove as they are to install. Made from a high-quality matte-finish vinyl, the decals are meant to “flow beyond the frame” that often compartmentalizes art, breathing design into living spaces rather than simply nailing it to the wall.
And, the DIY design process doesn’t have to begin only after the purchase. Last year, WallTat unveiled its iDecal App, a free tool that allows customers to virtually apply the decals to their own walls by taking pictures on their iPhones or iPads.
Now, with the company’s six-year-anniversary coming this June, WallTat is offering a giveaway each week via Facebook and Twitter. Check out their 550 walls designs, play around with the customization options, and see how you can let art flow into your own rooms—free from the frame.
