XTable, A Simpler Desk

I own a few desks, I also own a few keyboard stands—and I've actually used them interchangeably on occasion. But I can't say that I ever envisioned the XTable, which, to my eye, fuses the best of both archetypical designs. It's a manually height-adjustable desk from the brilliant folks at KiBisi.
You can adjust it via a hand crank mechanism, as needed. While the designers reference ironing boards as an inspiration, it really looks more like a high-end stand for a synthesizer or digital studio—I can imagine producers with the resources are placing orders for a XTable right now. But it's more than that, it offers optional storage for your typical office supplies and unobtrusively integrated technical features—meaning you can stash those unsightly cables away inside it.
It's a quality build, too, made by the Scandinavian family-owned office furniture legend Holmris. The XTable launched this week at Orgatec, October 23–27, in Cologne, Germany.
