If one day you were walking down the street and someone handed you a sticker that read simply "You Are Beautiful," hopefully you weren't creeped out. The sticker campaign, started in Chicago by designer and artist Matthew Hoffman more than a decade ago, has distributed more than a half million feel-good stickers all over the globe, and a recent Kickstarter campaign raised more than $30,000 to fund a book full of stories and images from the decade-long project.
"The design has changed, but the message has stayed the same," Hoffman says in a cool video summarizing the project. To that end we wanted to share a look at a 100-foot-long, 8-foot-tall wooden mural created by Hoffman and produced by Johalla Projects for last weekend's 35 Denton Music Festival in Texas, as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of the large-scale murals for the exhibition A Decade of You Are Beautiful at Chicago's Green Exchange back in February.
