Inspiration Behind Instant Film
Thursday, December 16th, 2010
To celebrate the release of the November/December issue, DB teamed up with The Impossible Project and asked 10 different creative entities to capture their daily inspiration on Polaroid film. With Death's Door Spirits generously providing vodka and gin, the photographs were displayed to a packed house at Chicago's Bar Deville — a fittingly retro venue. Using a slightly more modern camera, photographer (and contributor to DB and ALARM) David Sampson snapped these great photos at the party. 8x8 Participants: James Geier and Karen Herold of 555 International, Brendan Shanley of Lost in Concert, Katherine Walker of VSA Partners, Brian Ulrich of Not If But When, Jeremiah Chiu of Plural Design, Studio Gang Architects, SomeOddPilot, The Post Family, Damon Locks, Mike Renaud Check out all of the Polaroids on DB's Facebook page.
