Magic Carp-pet

John Leung, of AARIVE Design collaborated with Melbourne-based architecture firm ClarkeHopkinsClarke on this wild rug-and-coffee-table concept that treats viewers to an optical illusion.
Stylized fish (carp, to be exact) seem to swim as one moves around the slatted table. It's not terribly complicated, but it succeeds in re-imagining how furniture and furnishings can interact with one another. Moreover, it turns two generally banal items into an interactive art piece.
