Music in the Glass House

Thursday, March 7th, 2013

As International Style architecture goes, it doesn't get much more iconic than architect Philip Johnson's Glass House in New Canaan, Connecticut. The home that Johnson lived in until his death in 2005 now belongs to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and we're super-psyched for the launch of their new program Night Sounds, which pairs a musician and a new sculpture installation for a live performance in the house. The first installment featured the fittingly ethereal sounds of Julianna Barwick performing "Offing," a new song off her upcoming record due later this year. The video of her performance, which features Ken Price's sculpture Doola (2011), is up on the website for the Glass House.
